Cancellation & Travel Fee Policy

Appointment Commitment

When you book an appointment with Ivan Notary, that time is reserved specifically for you.

We operate on a scheduled basis, and last-minute changes directly impact availability and travel commitments.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations must be made at least 2 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment time
  • Cancellations made with less than 2 hours’ notice may be subject to a fee
  • Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in refusal of future service

No-Show Policy

A no-show is defined as:

  • Client not present at the agreed location and time
  • Client unreachable upon arrival

No-shows may result in a full travel fee charge.

Travel Fees

As a mobile notary, travel is a core part of the service.

  • A travel fee may apply based on distance, time, and location
  • Travel fees are non-refundable once the notary is en route
  • Travel fees apply even if notarization is not completed due to client-side issues

Failed Appointments

If the appointment cannot be completed due to:

  • Missing or invalid identification
  • Incomplete or incorrect documents
  • Signer unwilling or unable to proceed

👉 The travel fee still applies

Late Arrival

  • A grace period of 15 minutes may be allowed
  • After 15 minutes, the appointment may be:
    • Rescheduled
    • Treated as a no-show

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed
  • Travel fees and agreed service fees must be honored once the appointment is confirmed

Right to Refuse Service

Ivan Notary reserves the right to refuse service for any reason, including:

  • Non-compliance with notary laws
  • Safety concerns
  • Inappropriate behavior

Agreement

By booking an appointment, you acknowledge and agree to this Cancellation & Travel Fee Policy.
